Approved Bankruptcy Certification Services* is a non-profit organization that has been providing credit counseling services with certified counselors since 1997. The purpose of this site is to assist Consumers and Attorneys in dealing with the new Bankruptcy law, Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, which took effect in October, 2005. Approved Bankruptcy Certification Services* (ABCS) has established a program that will allow ABCS to issue certificates in compliance with the Bankruptcy code. Approval does not endorse or assure the quality of an Agency's services. This will assist Consumers and Attorneys, with staying on top of the required Pre Bankruptcy Education process, and the issuance of pre-bankruptcy certificates.

Consumers seeking Pre Bankruptcy Certification
If you are seeking to complete your Pre Bankruptcy education Certification requirements ABCS can help you. We have the required Budget and Credit Counseling needed to satisfy the requirements to begin filing Bankruptcy. Note: If you are filing in Middle or Eastern NC or AL, you can complete the entire counseling session online. All other districts, including Western NC, may initiate the counseling online but will be required to complete counseling by telephone appointment.
